Silver Stars
If you own a guitar that was built in my workshop and it has a silver star on the headstock it can mean one of two things:

[1] The specification is exactly what I would have chosen if it was going to be for myself. Colours, pickup type, neck style etc. etc I don't get to keep one myself very often and if I really want to keep one I sometimes put a sterling silver star on the headstock.

[2] It was used be me as a stage guitar and was sold a good while after it was built. A couple I have held onto for up to 3 years and others a few months. I have had my favourites over the years but rarely get to keep one these days even as a demo.

I keep a little box of stars in the workshop.
It's no big deal I suppose but for me it adds a little mojo and there can never be enough of that in any guitar :)
