Astrocaster #53-210517 Project name "The Walruss"
Body is of southern Myrtle cut from a section of a lightweight, beautifully grained board that had been air drying for over 10 years. In fact the last section of this timber from my rack. Neck is a one piece Rock Maple standard C profile with with US walnut skunk stripe. See other specs below. The bodyt is heavily chambered and as a result the guitar is very easy on the shoulder. It plays with a nice "live" feel and is very resonant and responsive. The wide tonal pallette comes from Mick Brierley's matched 52 lead for T-type and vintage wound P90. Tone goes from searing heat on the bridge with everything wide open to a warm thick syrupy tone from the P90.. Circuit is ToneRanger TX3
