RustBucket - no serial number
Always wanted to build a guitar that looked like it was dragged out from under a pile of junk at the back of a farm shed. Had a set of Duncans available, a Jerry Donahue Bridge and Vintage Neck which turned out to be a very nicely matched pair. The body was originally a tele knockoff but I decided to cut it back into roughly my old Telstar design and add the contours. Some parts were recycled from other guitars and some were brand new. The hardware was scratched up and subjected to acid, salt, peroxide and various other chemcals until I had what looked right to my eyes.

Despite the rough look of this guitar it was a great player. Nice set of perfectly levelled jumbos and pristine playing surfaces made it feel just right to the hands. Two way truss rod adjusting from the head stock. Top grade electrics throughout and fully shielded against hum. The body surface lookis pitted and a little bumpy in spots but it has been smoothed out and topped with a tough layer of lacquer. One bloke told me it was the ugliest guitar he'd ever seen. Beauty is I guess in the eye of the beholder. I really liked this guitar a lot and was horrified when in less than a week after it was completed an offer was made on it that I could't refuse. So off she went like all the others that I have fallen in love with over the years. At the end of the day they are made to be sold
. The tone? the headstock logo pretty much says it all - stand well back from your amp and be careful who it's pointed at.
