Custom Classic T-Type - The Aerocaster #72-160720
During the depths of the Covid lockdowns this guitar was built. The sombre colour reflecting the mood of the time. We were well into the uncharted and undreampt of territory of strict lockdowns, fear and paranoia in defence of the all pervading virus we were afraid was threatening life as we knew it. It felt like something out of a bad 50's sci fi movie. It's hard to imagine now just how quickly society snapped into this strange new normal. Equipped with Lollar Wide Range Humbuckers this guitar has a very big sound as you can imagine. The owner is a big bloke and he wanted a big neck. We chose the "superwide" spec and he was very pleased weith the feel. I might add I found it a pretty difficult ride. The Lollars lived up to the reputation. Even though I am a great proponent of local pickup winders I am still of the opinion you cannot beat Aussie made pickups. Enough said they do sound fabulous and the new owner scratched his itch for Jason's WR pickups. If you are looking for locally produced WRHB Martin A Smith builds really nice ones that are in my opinion as good or better than the Lollars.
