#30-220614 Tangi Nui
Built from a block of Rimu supplied by the the owner of the guitar. It has a very strident acoustic sound with plenty of sustain. Amplified the tone is full with a big bottom end, plenty of midrange punch and smooth clear highs - excellent definition. Particular attention was given in this design to ensure easy access to the controls and the upper frets. Pickups are Mick Brierley’s "Rebellions" AKA The Big Red Rockers

This instrument was designed for heavy blues and it will do that job in spades. The tone chambers give the guitar a very lively feel and controlled feedback is easily achieved in the right conditions. The top has been carefully shaped to enhance the full rich tone of the pickups.

The controls are in the same position as a strat with no 2nd tone. The Freeway switch is in the same relative position as a Strat and it is possible to operate all controls with the pinky finger. Perfect if you ride the controls all night. Standard strat switching plus the neck and bridge together in parallel.
