The Red Rocket - No. 24-010316
A top grade fully bench built T-trype. Body is extra light one piece louisianna swamp ash body with a two piece rock maple neck. Fabulous tone from Mick Brierley's custom wound pickup set. I chose a '52 bridge and overwound vintage neck pickup. This one was to be mine as a demo / personal player but didn't last here too long. It has a serial number that goes back to 2016 but the neck never made it on to a finished guitar until winter 2018. The prefix number 23 puts it right back to 2013 when the neck was built and set aside with a body and box of parts with "Rays T" written on it. Never got to actually put it together until 2018 and interestingly it was the last guitar built at the Cleve avenue workshop situated at the foot of Mount Dandenong right at the outer limit of Melbourne's east side. Great guitar and luckily owned by a good mate of mine so I can get a play of it every so often.
