RB Special No. 019-300312 -
This is the second build based on the RB Special template set. It has some similarities to #5 but is radically different in many ways. Main differences to #5 are the size, which was reduced to 340mm across the main bouts and it has a solid core.
The guitar is built from light weight, very resonant mahogany, capped with a Tasmanian tiger myrtle drop top. The neck is laminated mahogany. The body is profiled save weight. and weighs in at 3.6kg.
Mick Brierley's PAF's were use and these have a beautifully detailed tone. Electronics are master tone and volume with a 3 way toggle switch. Tone is impressive. Very well rounded, clear and detailed from the warm, thick sweetness of the bass on the neck pickup to screaming incandescent highs on the bridge pickup. Ideal for pretty much any music genre no 19 is great all rounder.

Built for Dennis who writes: Got back home Tuesday night ,me and new guitar arrived unscathed- all good. Haven’t put it down for 2 days now and really like it. Tried it on my Valve-tone amps and sounds great.
Just getting the hang of where the nice warm tone is on the neck p/up with the pots. For hot blues and hard rock, switch to the back p/up with some overdrive and wind the pots to max and it sounds wicked, this is its best sound IMO. With the switch in the middle you can get a nice sorta surf guitar twang there too.
